What to do about gas and electricity when you move into a new home, and what happens when you move away from a property we supply.

There’s certain information that we need to know when you move home, that will help to ensure you pay the right amount for your energy.

If you’re a Just Energy customer and you’re moving to a new home in the next 28 days, please contact us:

Tell us more about your move via our easy-to-complete form. Complete the Moving Out Form

Call Us

Move or close your account, with:

  • The date you are moving house
  • Your new address so we can send your final bill to you
  • Meter Reading(s) for the date you moved out
  • Your new telephone number

It would also be helpful to know:

  • The name/s of who’s moving in.
  • Their phone number and email address.
  • The name and address of the landlord, if you don't own your old home

Who currently supplies electricity and gas to your new home?

  • Check for brand names on any statements or letters.
  • Ask the letting agent or landlord, check your legal pack, or contact the previous owner.
  • If you’re still not sure, make a note of your meter serial numbers and call ESB Networks on 1850 372 757 or Gas Networks Ireland on 1850 20 50 50.
